Learnings - Story Writing

Hi All,
I wanted to share with you few of my learnings this week. Story writing can end up with mundane content. If you want to increase the interest of the story then an imaginative situation having a sense of surprise and a logical support of the plot creates more interest in the story.
I saw a lot of stories having dreams and committing suicides or having a narration of an old story. These attempts show us our inability to put ourselves in an imaginative yet sensible situation. One way to come out of a mundane story is to create a unbelievable yet logical situation in the story itself.
The ending of the story really makes you think the whole of the story itself. It is important for you to arrive at a carefully created end and not an mundane unexpected ends like death and suicides!
Hope this helps
