The precious diamond

Once upon a time there lived in a village, a boy who believed in"early to bed and early to rise makes man healthy".So he used to sleep early at night and get up before dawn and go for a walk. One day he got up very early in morning and was not able to sleep further so he decided to go for a walk near the river which was at some distance from his home.When he reached the river bank,he sat near some boat and was just thinking of having a walk on shores of the river when he suddenly saw a sack lying inside the boat.He was as usual anxious to know what was inside it so he went near that sack and bought the sack out of boat.As it was very dark he could not see what was inside the sack but he felt them from his hand and thought them to be a sack of pebbles.Suddenly he got some idea to pass time. He sat near the river and started throwing the pebbles one by one into the river.He continued to throw pebbles in river and as he was about to throw the last pebble the sun rose and he was shocked to see what he was holding in his hand. Its was very precious diamond.He started cursing his foolishness.He kept that diamond in his pocket and went in search of the other stones which he had thrown in river but he could not find any. Dejected , he went back home with heavy heart cusing his foolishness.
